ECO- FRIENDLY WATER BASED LEATHER

Water-based Polyurethane (PU) Is An Eco Friendly Alternative To Leather

A few years ago, HELI was introduced to an artificial leather fabric that was developed switching from DMF-based polyurethane production to a water-based process (WBPU). In WBPU, water is the medium used to create foamed polyurethane dispersions as the coating material for the underlying fabric, so it's eco-friendly and harmless to the human body.

The WBPU coating material is environmentally-friendly. It does not contain any toxic chemicals and is non-flammable.

The fabric is both soft and breathable, and suitable for lightweight products such as womens outerwear.

Our material uses essentially different technology from traditional PU on market now, regarding the origin of the process. It simulates the interior structure of real leather by foaming technology and has a very good air permeability with no need to punch by laser, and very soft touch feeling. Therefore, it’s proved soft enough to be used in jackets, coats, etc.

Microfiber leather

The full name for microfiber is PU superfine fiber leather. Generally speaking, microfiber is composed by a layer of high performance PU (polyurethane resin) and superfine fiber wiki clothe laminating. Its structure is similar with genuine leather, and belongs to the third generation artificial leather.

Durability

Generally speaking, the polyurethane resin of microfiber leather has stronger abrasion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, hydrolysis resistance than the ordinary PU, also the color fastness and texture are better than ordinary PU.

RECYCLED LEATHER RETAINS THE APPEARANCE AND FEEL OF THE ORIGINAL

HELI uses smart recycling on natural leather fibres, to create a material that is highly durable and retains the properties of traditional leather

Recycled leather is a composite of shredded discarded leather collected from the manufacturing of clothes, shoes, boots, handbags, furniture etc. These shreds are then mixed together with a binding agent and produced into sheets of different thicknesses and then coated into any given colour.

GREEN ENVIRONMENTAL
FRIENDLY SOLVENT FREE LEATHER

EPU or you can call it solvent free PU synthetic (faux) leather fabrics or non solvent PU leather and this material is an improved eco-friendly PU synthetic leather. The structure of EPU is stable and with 7-15 years hydrolysis resistance and this new material is designed to be environmentally friendly.

1. EPU feels soft and smooth and it is with more toughness and elasticity;

2. It is more wear-resistant and scratch-resistant, it is not easy to crack, and it does not need special care;

3. A piece of precision EPU has a service life of up to 20 years, also it is with longer color persistence;

4. Normal PU leather is affected by the rising temperature, it is easy to emit pungent chemical odor, and there are irreversible deformation and wrinkle while the increase of heat, EPU surface is more heat-resistant and the ductility is better;

5. EPU is more environmentally friendly in production process, eliminating the use of solvents and chemical reagents, and does not contain harmful substances such as heavy metals harmful to the human body.
